Titan Customer here. Everything was great until Tuesday when the inverter was online but was not producing. Solar Edge said that it is a production issue and to call installer. Called LGCY they won’t touch it. 🤦♀️
I just recently purchased a home with the solar being leased. I moved and haven't made any payment on it since the solar company filed a bankruptcy. Can I have somebody activate the solar panel since nobody took over? I mean, technically, it's mine now right?
Powerhome solar installed my system incorrectly and went bankrupt 2 months later. Goodleap financed the system and I'm high and dry on the project with tens of thousands of debt.
Titan customer here. Found out about the bankruptcy through Solar Edge. We financed the system, which is now malfunctioning. Equipment is under warranty, but company does not cover labor. Have reached out to the finance company hoping the can cover the labor, let’s see what happens.
Sun power installed the system on my house this past summer and the system never got turned on. Sun Power went out of business. What happens now to me?
With Sunpower going out of business and with CA new home mandate, us home owners should be allowed to break away from Sunpower lease and allow us to find another stable company.
President Harris should pour federal money into green energy companies to keep them viable.
I had Titan solar my mom had it installed about a year ago and financed don't know who with .Do still have to pay for the system unfortunately my mom passed away and I'm lost on what to do
Sun Power, Im so nervious cuz I still owe $50k
I have SunPower system with Tech CU Loan. Do you have any referral for a Lawyer in CT who I can consult what to do with the Tech CU loan ? I want to check what option I have when the SP metering app will go down and in case I need service no longer covered by the SP warranty
Thanks for info. I've already explored these options but with no success. I assumed a solar loan on a home I purchased last year. AC/DC Solar filed bankruptcy and Im left with a $70k debt. Luckily the system is working properly however the warranty now is void. Very poor way to do business. I'm sure there are a lot of us in this situation.
New subscriber, this information is very helpful. Currently had solar contract with sun power financial. They are on the verge of bankruptcy and they had installed the product had passed inspection but unfortunately not getting any power to the grid as the box isn’t connected to our wifi. They sent out two different maintenance crews and they couldn’t figure out why. First payment is due in august but the equipment doesn’t work and they are basically folding as of this week and have lost contact from our original point of contact rep. This information helps a lot on how to move forward from here. Thank you 🙏
Challenge for SunPower customers as enPhase says no support… hopefully that changes if there’s an actual bankruptcy. Oh and Maxeon also teetering on the brink of bankruptcy.
South Carolina Titan.. thankfully system fully running
Did titan file bankruptcy or is that there for click bait… Didn't have time to watch the entire video
I started with Sun Pro Solar. They were bought out by ADT Solar. Now that ADT Solar is no longer in business. I don’t have anyone to contact,
If something goes wrong. I haven’t had any issues yet. I did reach out to Enphase. About local contractors in my area. This was the first time, I was disappointed from Enphase. The person give me one name of a company. The company mainly deals with commercial and agricultural industry. I am still searching for a local contractor. ADT gave me a few names, but they are out of state companies.
What timing. You release this video and then i see that SunPower may be filing bk. I am 8 years in, on a 20 year lease. I am not looking forward to the next 12 years. In your experience, what do you normally see happening after the lease period is up?
My system was installed by Titan Solar and it was a sketchy process. I recently contacted Solaredge about issues with one of my inverters. I've had repeated communication issues with both inverters and their monitoring application doesn't alert you most of the time. Their customer service doesn't even provide adequate lip service. They will only deal with authorized installers and there is only two authorized installers in Arizona. Only one replied to my service request and they wanted $300 to certify the entire system before doing any troubleshooting or repairs. And all of the labor for any warranty service was not covered, only the actual cost of the warranted inverter/panel. I suspect Solaredge is struggling financially too 🙁
Sunrun right now is in a phenomenal position (and I'm not saying that because I work for them lol). I've worked for a few other solar companies in the past and when I tell you they are on the way to being the Coca-Cola and Amazon of the industry. They have the largest residential solar securitization industry wide this yr of 890 million. We're selling twice the amount of Powerwalls that Tesla is selling. Beware of these fly by night companies. Your warranty is only as good as the longevity of the company you're working with. 😊
Yeah I had Solar is Freedom and the owner filled bankruptcy and has done this before under different names and he got the bankruptcy for the 3rd time I've heard from other Solar companies in my area and now his wife opened another Solar company under a different name. Thankfully Enphase is standing behind their warranty and I've been able to replace micro inverters myself under warranty from Enphase. Indiana and Kentucky attorney General is investigating him but Ohio is doing nothing but granted his bankruptcy and they left alot of people with no warranty!!
