A trade war with the USA is laughable and we can’t win it. It will just hurt more Canadians. We’re too closely linked with the USA all major companies in this country are American as well. Eg Walmart, Homedepot, Costco, Esso, almost all restaurant chains, every business in your malls, most oil companies in this country all of your vehicles. What if they decide to retaliate by disallowing operations in our country. How about fresh produce our shelves would go bare very fast. I agree we shouldn’t be so dependant on the USA but this would take a lot of time to change.
