  • 100% won’t hire a thief. No excuses

    ABC eyes on you here.

  • @jcmoye1 says:

I buy from them and they are awesome great customer service !!

  • Please say more negative things about america, Our stuff may be old but it was first and everyone else is ripping off our patients.

  • We just switched! It is liberating! We use VanBoxel!

  • We stocked basic material last year and added $40K to GP. Cost to handle was $10K. $30K in the pocket.

  • 25% for Canada and Mexico

  • I work for an independent distributor in Southwest Ohio. I enjoy the videos. I would say most roof items are commodities now. I also think Kyle will eventually have to charge more for his stuff just to make it worth his while. Don’t ignore then independent distributors.

  • @trivas5991 says:

The Amish do not have to pay for insurance as others who are not do. It’s not the same game or a level playing field at all. That’s not a fair comparison

  • @wlombardo31 says:

12:00 we still use tar paper cause it works better. Do all the test you want but they never show the real-world test. Tar paper is a better longer lasting product period. I work on homes that the tar paper is older than me but still looks new and its dry. Been dry behind it. Cant say thay for synthetic. Look at all the older homes that used it. They are still there and framing is in good shape. So we use it cause its time tested in real world not a fake test for the books. I have put down synthetic and after it rains all.day its wet under it. Followed the manufacturer directions and all. Tar paper would be bone dry. And you dont have to be perfect for it do its job like synthetic . Tar paper is best bang for the buck .technology is not always better and from the facts/history we have it always comes back few years later to bite us. Each there own. I have used tar paper alone to cover a chicken house , 4 years later its dry and still in same condition it was day 1. I have a shed i left wraped in gaf synthetic. Its been 1 year. The wood under it is rotted already. Same location in the yard, same environment factors. Tar paper wins. I like using rhe synthetic cause its easy but definitely not a better product in wet areas.

  • Longer-term planning isn't something a lot of roofers think of. The sales reps don't last long for a lot of companies; they need quick turnaround times and delivery within the next week of the first payment collected, usually delivered on the roof to make things easier. Additionally, supplier sales reps are constantly calling 'to grab lunch.' Not having space for the material is also a big issue. Seven- to eight-figure roofing companies—the majority of them—just have tiny offices that cost them a few thousand a month, and they don't want to spend any more than that.

  • ABC Supply outside Sales rep here. I do enjoy all your content a lot. Agree with a most of the stuff you post. Hope to see you at IRE.

  • @MartaEltina says:

Supplyers they dont have the same price for all contractors, and that make the mess in the industry. ABC, Beacon, SRS, you can put them in place only if you sale leads to contractors, you direct them also, that is the moment they will low price and beeg for business. now with the emigration there wont be no roofer left, and big companies will die out. that power roofing is just another Scam 10 times scam than Lee. and there is other contractors that adapting that model charge high price with push tacticks, About buy shingle direct from factory yes Owens corning sale direct to roofers, is who you know no what you know, have a trractor trailer it wont cost a lot to put some logos on it ABS or Beacon. Who will ask you questions about it whos trailer is that. i Know contractors in Jersey that buy direct from factory,

  • @imBadMove says:

Love the content Dmitry. Hope to meet you at the IRE.

  • DYNOSTEEL..

STARTING A ROLLFORMING METAL ROOF SUPPLY ..

    AFTER 7 YAERS OF ROOFING….

  • I work at abc supply currently and I enjoy your videos

  • Mechanically fastened roofs are terrible with all those exposed screws, especially on the Gulf coast with the salt water and winds. You'll have to maintain and service all those screws along with their washers which will wear out over time, which nobody ever does. Much better to either have a true standing seam or even snap-lock as they both have hidden fastners, as that is truly a lifetime roof (aside from tennisball or baseball hail or a tornado or cat3 hurricane). I see some roofers lay right over 3-tabs with those R-Panels as cheap as they can, and I have no idea how they warranty the work. I won't install R-Panels, only standing seams, which the labor of course is much, much more, and I just have to explain to the customers the difference. You're actually better off getting a Class IV IR asphalt shingle than a R-Panel.
Edit: If building my own new home from scratch, as a roofer, the roof I would want is a heavy or jumbo cedar shake. Hard to beat that natural breathing in the hot summers in the South.
Edit: I've bought nails, plastic caps, and pipe jack boots in bulk, because that's the same on every single roof and theyre easy to transport and store and are relatively cheap. Shingles really aren't marked up, are too expensive, and too difficult logistically, plus all the different colors.

  • Waiting for the videos supporting trump deporting roofers and construction workers. Rounding people up like hitler did. Corporations exist to exploit labor and maximize profit. It's never been about America first. It's about corporate profits first. The People are about to get crushed. There is no incentive to bring manufacturing jobs to America. This process takes years. Trump is a conman grifter. Trusting a wannabe dictator, 6 time bankrupt, serial criminal, sex offender is beyond insane.

  • Respectfully , roofing contractors are clueless about the how and why of the distribution of shingles

  • Nice smear campaign on the big suppliers…..You can't say here in Miami, Florida that Van Boxel can compare to a $200 roll from distribution.

  • Garbage metal roofs , standing seam or metal shingles only, insurance companies don’t like exposed screw roofs

  • Nails are crazy price in Canada $50-70 a case

  • I am from Nova Scotia Canada, we have inter tape polymer, they make nova seal underlayment and our minimum wage is $16 an hour , I believe they pay $25 an hour on average

  • 2.89 per ft not 1.89

  • I've always had CertainTeed stand behind thei product. I have heard horror stories from the other brand
