The 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season begins on Sunday, June 1. Florida Governor Ron Desantis and Kevin Guthrie, the director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management came together for a news conference Friday, urging people to prepare in the days ahead, as the National Hurricane Center (NHC) predicts an “above average” season. The first named storm, Alvin, has already formed in the Pacific.

43 years of living in Florida, I can't even remember all the hurricanes but I remember how our Governors handled things and I can say with all my heart DeSantis has been the best for getting us back up and running not to mention the supplies he has ready for us. He has been the best Governor IMO
